Two 1st Earls? edit
It would be good if someone who knows their Burke's could sort out the story with this:
- "...Only a few weeks after succeeding, he was created Viscount Sunbury and Earl of Halifax, revivals of the titles also held by his uncle..."
and on the uncle's page
- "...the viscountcy and earldom became extinct on his death as he had no sons while he was succeeded in the barony according to the special remainder by his nephew George Montagu..."
