George Bailey (cricketer, born 1982)George Bailey (cricketer)George Bailey (cricketer, born 1982) is the clear primary topic if you're searching for George Bailey (cricketer). He's a current international cricketer, compared to the other cricketers, who've only played first-class cricket over 100 years ago and in the past 30 days, this article has had 2,614 views, compared to 82 for George Bailey (cricketer, born 1853) and 80 for George Bailey (cricketer, born 1882). Seems like he's the obvious cricketer people would be searching for when searching George Bailey (cricketer). Joseph2302 (talk) 11:49, 23 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose What on earth is the benefit to anyone (reader or editor) of replacing an unambiguous dab with an ambiguous dab?
There is no claim that this man is the ptopic for George Bailey, so he should be disambiguated fully. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:15, 23 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose as BHG above. Dab makes much more sense Blue Square Thing (talk) 12:37, 23 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose: it's not wise for anyone to search for "George Bailey (cricketer)" because that would only be the article title if (a) there was at least one other George Bailey and (b) this one was not the primary topic for the name, neither of which the searcher knows in advance. If he was the only, or the Primary, George Bailey, he'd just be at George Bailey. The disambiguation is to distinguish him from all the other GBs, not just the cricketers, and we don't have a concept of "Primary disambiguated topic". PamD 13:06, 23 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment Although I thought this was a good move, apparently it isn't, per Wikipedia:Partially disambiguated page names. He clearly is the primary cricketer, but partial disambiguation isn't helpful it seems. Going to close this, per WP:SNOW. 13:37, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
