After the 'Beer' section was wiped out today by an unregistered user, I'd like to get some thoughts on the validity of the section. Keep it, different page, or dump it all together?--Qfl247 (talk) 01:29, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

I suggest leaving it out. I've been a professional geologist for a long time and am a bit tired of the cliché of geologists and beer. Sure there's a "close relationship", but I'd rather not enshrine it in Wikipedia. I already have plenty of geology students who feel an obligation to drink lots of beer! I don't have any real problem with having something about geologists & beer, but this new section is distinctly unencyclopedic. Clean up & make NPOV, if we keep it. Cheers, Pete Tillman (talk) 05:08, 13 January 2010 (UTC), another geologist (who likes beer)

Photo won't load?

Another editor removed this image, commenting that it wouldn't load. It comes up for me, so I'm putting it here to see if it loads for others. TIA, Pete Tillman (talk) 19:42, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

I couldn't see it, but after adding 250px to the image text I find that I can. I wonder if that works for others. Mikenorton (talk) 20:14, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
