Allegation Giuliano is in hiding in Thailand edit

There's an line in the current version that says Giuliano is in hiding for doing dirty deeds to Yoko Ono and Pete Townshend. It isn't properly sourced, and the link it leads to is some stuff that has nothing to do with it, but that makes other, more horrendous allegations.

Here is the background. Giuliano did apparently once tell a reporter from a now-defunct Canadian alternative newspaper that he "stole a tape" from Pete Townshend. I had information about this entered in the article at one time, but it's been removed - probably because the overall tone of the article was so negative at that time. But, in all fairness, I've never seen any suggestion that Townshend is "pursuing" him, and that goes back a long way, when Townshend hired Giuliano to work on some kind of "street theater" project, probably early 70's. There have been other allegations, and there is one in the link, that he has amassed some of his Beatles collection by "borrowing," and not returning. But the statement that's in the article right now is not addressing that.

As to Yoko Ono - that's a little more solid, because he apparently represented himself as a "middleman" for sale of Wedding Photos. You can read about that in the entry I've added. Is Ono "pursuing" him? Maybe she should, because he says not-so-nice things about her whenever he gets a chance. But - there's no evidence that's surfaced in the press that she is. The only evidence she might be after him now is circumstantial. Giulano left for Thailand after she issued a subpoena about sources he'd used to write his book about Lennon - the one that was purportedly based on Lennon's stolen journals. Whether she would continue to look into this if he returned to the U.S. - that's another question. But how can she pursue him when he's living in Thailand?

Any thoughts on this, anyone? As I understand wiki, the statement I refer to should be removed. Maybe others should be reinstated - but that one should certainly be removed, correct? Oldsmobile (talk) 19:49, 22 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect Badman citations edit

There are two references that cite Badman 2000, which has no referent. Is the supporting source "Badman, Keith (2001). The Beatles Diary Volume 2: After the Break-Up 1970–2001." (cited elsewhere in the article) or "Badman, Keith (2000). The Beatles Off The Record." (found in other Beatles-related articles)? Reference purists want to know. Fixed. User:JG66 determined the cites are from the 2001 source. David Brooks (talk) 03:54, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Lots of weird stuff edit

I actually found this page because GG takes Librivox recordings and repackages them as Audiobooks with his name on them and sells them. But more than that, I don't think it's responsible to claim he has anything to do with the McLibel case (even though he seemingly desperately wants to be known as being involved in it from his personal website). BoosterBronze (talk) 23:46, 14 December 2023 (UTC) But for real, should something on this page acknowledge that every article or news hit on this guy has him involved in some kind of shady-to-illegal kind of action? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BoosterBronze (talkcontribs) 23:50, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
