Product details edit

It would be interesting to have a table showing the annual revenues from each product, and the date of patent expiration. -- Beland (talk) 00:55, 3 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

External links modified edit

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Genzyme. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

  • Oppose. A change of official name has little relevance under our article naming conventions. The question is, what's it commonly called? This doesn't seem to have changed since Sanofi acquired Genzyme in 2011, and may never do so... why would people use the longer name? Andrewa (talk) 20:24, 15 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Andrewa. I understand the article naming conventions and the goal of appealing to the most probable, common name of something. But in this case, the company has an official name. It is on all of the products and materials from the company. And it is now the correct, legal name. If naming consistency is not in place, it creates confusion about what the actual name is and perpetuates incorrect nomenclature. I'm sure the goal of wikipedia isn't to encourage incorrect nomenclature so I'm confused as to why it would be deemed incorrect to use the actual name. It really isn't much longer, even. • Weak oppose. While we routinely obey name changes for corporations and similar bodies, the company itself does not seem to push the new composite name, still using the short title throughout their own website, including the "about" [1] page. Both names are in widespread use across news sources. [2]. No such user (talk) 14:20, 27 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
