apostrophes

it's not a matter of plural or not. you never put s in the possessive clitic after a word already ending with s

That is not correct, if a name ends in s, such as James or Davros, it can be followed by 's. If we listened to Genesis of the Daleks, we would hear the words "Davros's daleks" said many times with the extra s pronounced. Tim! (talk) 23:01, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

Didn't this one cause complaints from MW ? Ripping gas masks off corpses is not really her idea of children's viewing. -- Beardo 02:01, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

I remember different

This specific episode of Dr. Who, Genesis of the Daleks, is one of the great classic episodes.

When I first saw it in the 80's it was different. Most importantly, clear as day I recall the appearance, language and accent of Jon Pertwee playing the doctor. If I did not recall it so vividly today I would never post this.

When Tom Baker speaks of the viral experiment he says it faster and less dramatic than Pertwee did. It was also more dramatic when Pertwee gave his speech on does he have the right. I say more dramatic because Baker talks faster and the only reason I knew what he said was because I recall Pertwee saying it slower and with more drama.

There is of course one fundamental flaw with my vivid recollection. There is no mention of any kind of Jon Pertwee ever appearing in this episode, and I admit doesn't make sense taping the same episode twice for two doctors.

It is what I saw in the 80's and that's my story and I am sticking to it. I could swear truthfully on anything that this happened the way I remember it happening - so strongly I had to mention it.

Not ever expecting this to get anywhere with this anyway...
