Note for a "Themes" section edit

Besides the sources already present in the article, consider also using: When the Grown-Ups Stumble, These Kids Take Matters Into Their Own Hands. Isabelle 🔔 17:44, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Isabelle Belato, Good source. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 17:48, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I'll probably start that section soon, followed by the plot. Might have enough sources for a development section too, though most of it comes from interviews with the author, so I'm not sure it would be reliable or not. Isabelle 🔔 19:44, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Isabelle Belato, the development section can absolutely be based on author interviews. I'm glad to see someone working on Caldecott/Newbery books - COVID has meant my library access has been limited so I haven't been able to work on these. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 20:24, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Barkeep49 Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I've begun the "Major themes" section, but it could probably use with some reworking to better explain how "colorism" happens and what leads to in the book. Also, if you need help with any specific article, feel free to ping me on my talk page or over on discord! Isabelle 🔔 01:00, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Isabelle Belato, I haven't dived in deep but your work today seems really top notch. This article is well on its way towards GA thanks to you. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 01:01, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Barkeep49: I'm getting ready to write the "Development" portion of the article, and I found this podcast series with recordings by the author herself (still have to listen). I would like to know if they would be reliable enough, and if so, how should I reference them (MOS, template etc.). Isabelle Belato, yes they may be used in anyway that an author interview is appropriate. I tend to source them as a website but then use the Template:RP to give the time code as to when the information I'm citing is being talked about for better verification.
