This is my first attempt at entering a message on a Wikipedia "Talk" page. If I mess up, my apologies.

Am attempting to "cleanup" the wiki page I created on the subject of the "General Aviation Manufacturers Association" -- usually referred to in the industry simply by its acronym: "GAMA".

However, "GAMA" is also an acronym (and name) used by others -- either in ALL CAPS ("GAMA") or in capitalized lower-case ("Gama") -- either with or without additional words -- as shorthand for an entity's full name.

For instance: "Gama" in some contexts, even in aviation, refers to the Gama Aviation, Ltd group, a for-profit business (an aircraft charter service) in the UK -- which is NO relation to "GAMA" - the U.S.-based non-profit "General Aviation Manufacturers Association." (the subject of this article that I've recently created).

However, currently, if I enter "GAMA" (all upper case) in the Wikipedia search window, I'm taken directly to the web page for:

"Game Manufacturers Association"

...which says in a hatnote that it is a "redirect from GAMA."

A click on THAT link takes me to a page for

 "GAMA" (in ALL UPPER-CASE letters)
  http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=GAMA&redirect=no

which does, indeed, have only a link to redirect exclusively back to:

"Game Manufacturers Association"

THEREFORE, anyone entering GAMA as an acronymn (all UPPER CASE, normally) will not get to see the disambiguation page, which is for:

   "Gama" (MiXeD-Case letters)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gama

...even though that page DOES list some ALL-UPPER-CASE uses of "GAMA."

Please understand that "GAMA" is more than just an acronym for the "Game Manufacturers Association." It is THE acronym by which the "General Aviation Manufacturers Association" is known (and normally referred to, rather than by its whole name).

And surely that is true for OTHER organizations and things, as well (the disambiguation page for "Gama" cites "Galaxy And Mass Assembly survey" (GAMA) astronomy project, for instance.)

Being new to wiki editing, I am utterly bewildered by the Wikipedia disambiguation protocols (which I've truly TRIED to understand from the MANY wiki pages I've examined on this topic, which seem to make the issue more and more confusing, rather than less so).

Would one of you fine editors out there please fix this? I don't know how.

In the meantime, I've left my own crude disambiguation notes (perhaps inappropriately) on THIS Wiki article for "General Aviation Manufacturers Association", and welcome your reorganization and/or relocation of them -- along with the pages for "Gama" and "GAMA" -- to get things in some kind of rational order.

Thanks.
Respectfully,
