Gemini 4 reference in popular culture

Barry Mcguire's "Eve of Destruction" (1965) written by P.F. Sloan has a line "Ah, you may leave here, for four days in space, but when you return, it's the same old place." This refers to the June 1965 mission of Gemini 4, which lasted just over four days. Not so sure. Miscellaneous lists of trivia are generally discouraged, and for good reaason. "Popular culture" sections are supposed to show how the article topic had significant impacts on the culture; see WP:"In popular culture" content:

"However, passing mentions in books, television or film dialogue, or song lyrics should be included only when that mention's significance is itself demonstrated with secondary sources. For example, a brief reference in film dialogue may be notable if the subject responds to it in a public fashion—such as a celebrity or official quoted as expressing pleasure or displeasure at the reference."

Without any verifiable source evidence that this reference (not explicitly stated in the song) was perceived as significant by the culture, it remains trivial (despite the notability of the song, for its anti-war sentiment.) Ask yourself, does it add anything to the encyclopedic value of the Gemini 4 article? JustinTime55 (talk) 16:04, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Beyond that, it could also be referring to the prior Soviet 4-day missions, of which there were several -- especially since it was written in mid-64 before the Gemini missions. --Neopeius (talk) 04:58, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
