Experiences
editWe wasted a whole afternoon with these people in Bangkok in March 2010, going up to step 4 of the described process. Luckliy we refused to go inside the jewellery store, although the tuk tuk driver insisted on driving us there!!
Holy Crap! I almost fell for this scam. Each Temple had a seemingly random western tourist tell me he pays for his trip to Thailand every year by buying jewelry. They were so convincing, how can you not believe an English accent?
