Censorship edit

Why were the words "war" and "nuclear" censored? ~ TheSun (talk) 06:36, 3 April 2009 (UTC) ~Reply

nuclear war is too gay for conventional audiences. 128.104.160.40 (talk) 22:12, 8 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
I always thought that the song seemed more "dirty" with the whiplash sound instead of "war." Innuendo and whatnot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.219.148.166 (talk) 10:32, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Censoring those words makes me really confused. The song may arguably have some disturbing phrases but "war" and "nuclear" are really not one of them. One wild assumption would be that the band deliberatly censored themselves for promotion purposes.--Section6 (talk) 00:47, 1 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Censorship of music is the practice of restricting free access to musical works. This censorship may stem from a wide variety of motivations, including moral, political, military or religious reasons. Censorship can range from the complete government-enforced legal prohibition of a musical work, to private, voluntary removal of content when a musical work appears in a certain context. An example of this latter form of censorship is the radio edit. " Some stations also censored 2003's "Gay Bar" by Electric Six, removing the word war from the sentence "Let's start a war; start a nuclear war".

The video makes a South Park reference? I don't see it. -- 109.76.243.235 (talk) 06:43, 7 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Unavailability of lyrics / impoortance of japanese translation edit

The preservation of this particular entity in the scope of music industry hinges on the translation of the Japanese at the end; little else about it could be considered to contribute to anything productive, but that also has to be considered in your online democracy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.108.152.81 (talk) 10:51, 22 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
