Fork? edit
Is this the same topic as Gavali (caste)?--Kotniski (talk) 08:02, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
- Gawali was somewhat of an unreferenced fork on a sub-group thereof, so I've merged the two articles. I'll also redirect as many alternate spellings as I can to this article to head off future forks. I'm not at this point seeing anything to block having an overall article on this cowherding/dairy caste, though clearly they do vary region-to-region, but we don't yet have enough content to break regional groups out to their own pages. Most common spelling? edit
I'm running some gBooks searches under "gawli caste", "goalla caste", etc. It appears that "Goalla" is one of the most common terms, though "goala caste" also gets a lot of hits, but I'm not 100% sure they're the same thing. Any ideas?
