I read somewhere (I will try to remember where) that there was a Buddhist diety that resembled a bearded European and had a Jesus-sounding name. This might alter the date of entry to Japan of at least some of Christianity. I see no reason to believe that Christ, in a "spiritual" sense, could not have traveled they same trade routes to Japan as the Buddha did.--John Bessa (talk) 01:12, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Gasan in "101 Zen Stories"

Gasan in "101 Zen Stories" is Shotei Hashimoto　(1853 - October 1st, 1900) who is the 238th abbot of Tenryū-ji. Gasan is his "Go" the art name or pen name, in Asian country, people called the others with "Go".
