I've neglected to do this in the past, but it's policy, so I'll remember to follow through with it.. I've written a replacement article on the Temp page. Bobo192|Edits

Possible Chelsea transfer

edit

Isn't just only the transfer offer accepted, but the player and his representatives haven't agreed with terms yet? That means he hasn't been transferred to Chelsea. Just correct me, if I'm wrong. In that case, I apologize. --MrEskola (talk) 14:49, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, until the player signs for a club, they are not a member of that club. So in this case, Cahill/his rep has to agree with the terms and Cahill has to sign the contract, then he is officially a Chelsea player, and hence his current club changes to Chelsea. Until then, he is a Bolton player. Mr tim111 (talk) 22:45, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Could even consider an edit protection, if some people have gone too excited. --MrEskola (talk) 12:43, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Or maybe that current edit protection, which will restrict unregistered users from editing this one - is well enough. --MrEskola (talk) 17:29, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Career Statistics

edit

As he's a defender it seems redundant to have an 'assists' column in his career stats table. Such a statistic is only useful for attacking players. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theconorra (talkcontribs) 18:17, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Birth place

edit

The birth place has been changed from Sheffield to Dronfield and supported by a reference. Sheffield is supported by Soccerbase and also, more importantly, the GRO Index entry for the birth which is registered in Sheffield. Any thoughts? Keith D (talk) 22:06, 29 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

The GRO Index records where the birth was registered, not where the birth actually took place, and I've often found Soccerbase to be unreliable when it comes to birth places. Dronfield is also supported by The PFA Footballers' Who's Who 2010–11, which I've found very useful for birth places. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 23:22, 29 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
