edithelo ,i do not know how to use this site,juste want to say that my grandfather was a player of marimba and that he played whith 3 to 4 mallets in the years of 1940's and now that same instrument is still in my family and also the laste dates on the notes are 1918 if you need to see the pictures of the instrument please send message to jujube71@hotmail.com and i will provide thems hope this message gets where i whant

An important participation in a live session recorded in 1964 is not mentioned. The "Giants of Jazz" series of Jazz Concerts records contains a CD where Gary Burton played with Stan Getz, Joao Gilberto and Astrud Gilberto in Carnegie Hall and at the "Cafe au GoGo" in Greenwich Village in NYC, where Burton's virtuosity shines by itself. amclaussen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.100.180.20 (talk) 23:11, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
