Dadaab edit

@Red Icarus of Jakarta: As you request, I will give you a detailed explanation of my edit:

Firstly: The Dadaab refugee camp complex is not an integral part of Garissa county, and the refugees living there are obviously not counted by Kenyan authorities as inhabitants of Garissa county. I am sure you will find that this is the same in any refugee camp anywhere. The camps are run by the UN, and it is they that do the counting. Also obviously, the "population" of the camps will vary, since the camp is a temporary place of living, at least in principle.

Secondly: The current number of refugees is nowhere near 500,000 as you claim. It has been lying around 320,000–350,000 for a couple of years, but has dropped significantly during August 2016 to a current 263,036 (as of August 31), as you can see here.

Thirdly: The Dadaab is not one "settlement", but a complex of five different refugee camps: Hagadera, Dagehaley, Ifo, Ifo 2 and Kambioos, Hagadera being the largest with 82,922 (not larger the Garissa), as you can see in the same source.

Finally: The reason for removing some lines from the infobox is simply that they are not valid parameters of the template. They do therefore not show up anywhere and are redundant.

I have undone your revert. --T*U (talk) 15:28, 29 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Red Icarus of Jakarta: Dadaab is not "the county's largest city", since
  • it is not an administrative part of the county, but is completely run by the UN
  • it is not a city, but a compound of five separate refugee camps
  • none of the separate camps are larger than Garissa
And how can a city be "entirely rural". That is an oxymoron, if I ever saw one. Dadaab is not rural, it is a refugee camp. --T*U (talk) 04:28, 30 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
