Checking against GA criteria edit

GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose):   b (MoS):
''He was warned that he could drink from the bowl as long as it was intact so to protect the bowl, but swallowed it. ? unclear   Not done
Sindhu was given the ever-full bowl of amrita (elixir of life) as a boon from the Sun-god. Sindhu was warned that he could drink from the bowl as long as it was intact. So to protect the bowl, he swallowed it. Sindhu terrorized the three worlds, so the gods asked Gunesha for help. We now have three sentences starting "Sindhu". This is very poor prose.   Done
All the deities together called upon the sacred Turiya Tirtha river, in which Brahma bathed to cleanse his sin. Unclear   Done
''Currently, the temple is under the administration of the Chinchwad Devasthan Trust (lit. "Chinchwad temple trust") Why is the trust title repeated in brackets?   Done
I made a number of copy-edits and minor fixes.[1] Please get articles checked over and copy-edited before bringing them to WP:GAN
He was born to Shiva and Parvati in the Treta yuga, for the purpose of killing the demon Sindhu. Sindhu was born as a child of the king of Mithila, Cakrapani, and his wife Ugrā. Ugrā conceived due to the power of a solar mantra, but was unable to bear the extreme heat radiating from the foetus, so she abandoned it in the ocean. The latter part of this is not clear at at all. What is the it, referred to? Please rewrite the entire passage in clear English.
"It" refers to the foetus. There is no other object in the sentence that "it" can refer to. --Redtigerxyz Talk 12:29, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
:OK, so Sindhu is nothing to do with foetus? he is a nother child. Please make all of this crystal clear.
OK< you gave just enoughy to go on. I have converted that into better English now. please get someone with a good command of English t5o copy-edit before submitting other artciles to WP:GAN in future. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 13:01, 8 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

OK, on hold for seven days for the issues above to be fixed. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 15:25, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
OK, this just about squeaks through as reasonable prose, but I recommend that you get a full copy-edit as soon as possible. I am listing for GA status. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 13:01, 8 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
