I shall be reviewing this article against the Good Article criteria, following its nomination for Good Article status.

   I made a number of copy-edits and minor fixes.[1] Please get articles checked over and copy-edited before bringing them to WP:GAN

   He was born to Shiva and Parvati in the Treta yuga, for the purpose of killing the demon Sindhu. Sindhu was born as a child of the king of Mithila, Cakrapani, and his wife Ugrā. Ugrā conceived due to the power of a solar mantra, but was unable to bear the extreme heat radiating from the foetus, so she abandoned it in the ocean. The latter part of this is not clear at at all. What is the it, referred to? Please rewrite the entire passage in clear English.

   "It" refers to the foetus. There is no other object in the sentence that "it" can refer to. --Redtigerxyz ^Talk 12:29, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

   :OK, so Sindhu is nothing to do with foetus? he is a nother child. Please make all of this crystal clear.
