This page should not be speedy deleted because... edit
This page should not be speedily deleted because... the band Gamalon has produced some albums of amazing quality. I heard their music on Pandora and attempted to research the band on Wikipedia. I was surprised the band did not have a Wikipedia page, as most bands I have checked do. Gamalon has music similar in quality and style to artists like Camel, Weather Report, The Mahavishnu Orchestra and Ozric Tentacles. One of the band members was a member of Spyro Gyra, which does have a Wikipedia page. Gamalon's following was not huge, but the quality of music they produced was incomparable and influential to many musicians (according to what I've read). --Brentself (talk) 04:39, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

I'm late to the party, but I agree; this page should not be deleted. I'm surprised it was suggested for deletion. Gamalon was a nationally known ensemble by 1987 with albums on Amherst Records. Record stores and emerging cassette and CD stores with national reach stocked their albums and promoted their music with in-store play-tapes (giving way shortly to play discs). More than one of the band's members appeared in small features in magazines like Guitar Player, Guitar World, and Modern Drummer. I'm also surprised the page has been skeletonized compared to how much content it had prior to the above response in defense of the article.
As an aside, Tony Scozzaro was Tim Russert's (of "Meet the Press" fame) brother-in-law. Scozzaro was honored as best guitarist in his class at Musician's Institute (formerly GIT, as it was known when he attended) in Los Angeles, California.
