Does someone have the proof for inversion formula ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.100.8.99 (talk) 14:07, 15 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

I am puzzled by the fact that the length of the window function does not appear in the definition of the Gabor transform. Without this, how do you adjust the time/frequency resolution? Mizar1234 (talk) 21:28, 23 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

It appears to me that the equation for the inverse transform does not recover the original function but rather the enveloped version of the original. Dstahlke (talk) 00:37, 23 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Merge proposal edit

I propose that this page be merged with the FBI transform; see the discussion on that talk page. If you have any comments or opinions please leave them there, not here, so the discussion is kept together. Quietbritishjim (talk) 14:57, 25 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

'Wrong' Formula for 'Discrete Gabor-Transformation' edit

For me, the formula stated as 'Discrete Gabor-Transformation' is confusing.
What I expect to see here is the formula for the Gabor transformation, but   is the formula for the discrete inverse transformation aka Gabor expansion.
I would rather like to see something beginning with  .
