Potential edit

This subject has potential. Worthy of some expert attention. Adrian M. H. 20:15, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Confused edit

I'm confused: "The series was founded in 1972, and was called "showroom stock.""

Showroom stock still exists (SSC, SSB, SSA) in amateur club racing (SCCA). How did this series sever from SS? My understanding is that the allowable modifications are much greater in this series then they ever were (or are) in showroom stock. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thefirebuilds (talkcontribs) 18:56, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

History edit

Could someone summarize this for me? 76.126.15.78 (talk) 00:02, 26 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

You could do it. --Falcadore (talk) 20:49, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't this page be moved to Speed World Challenge, per WP:MOSCAPS and per Speed (TV channel)? --Falcadore (talk) 20:48, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Support per nomination. MOSCAPS and MOSTM favor using Speed since "SPEED" is just stylized. TJ Spyke 17:42, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Requested additions edit

Also a list of past champions would be good. --Falcadore (talk) 02:33, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Previous Vehicles edit

Why is there a list of previous vehicles? Isn't that a list for the sake of it? Why is there a list of old cars, but not of the drivers who have won championships? --Falcadore (talk) 09:22, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I used the website's archive for the list. It has the seasonal results, so if anyone wishes, they can create seasonal pages using the archive. 67.188.45.27 (talk) 23:52, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Infrormation specific to a particular season, like for example the Speed World Challenge#Current Vehicles (specific to 2009 season) section should be moved to that season. This article should provide an overview reflecting the entire history of the series. A list of champions is probably the most urgently needed additions. A list of eligible vehicles, is just a long list which looks bad. Such a list would be much better incorporated into text description. Individual seasons could carry the information as to which vehicles raced when. The problem with long lists as there are is they provide no context. Which cars race in which period? What year Chevroelt Camaros and who did they race against? Surely Porsche 996s didn't race agianst Suzuki Swifts? Which kind of Honda Accord, the European of the American version? Without context the list confuses more than it informs.
Statistics need context. --Falcadore (talk) 03:04, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
My apologies. The archive is in PDF format, so it's hard to view. Plus, there are at least 20 entrants per race, and at least 10 races per season, so that's at least 200 entrants per year to view. Again, for cleanup, you can use the archive. It would be greatly appreciated. 67.188.45.27 (talk) 06:23, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Table edit

Could someone fix the table? Thank you. 76.126.21.16 (talk) 21:57, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

What's wrong with it? Can't read you mind. --Falcadore (talk) 22:14, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
The "GT" and "LMP" parts need to be removed. 169.233.57.145 (talk) 03:56, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
