7 largest advanced economies
User:LittleOx, I missed the "G7" on that page the first time around and indeed see it now, but the sentence is still somewhat wrong. IMF only says "7 major advanced economies", not "largest" (even if that's true according to their definition). Even if this synthesis is used, it has to be noted that this is the International Monetary Fund's definition. There is no clear definition of "Advanced economy" besides theirs, and some other sources would argue that China, India and Brazil do have "advanced economies". - to specify, the IMF says that China, India and Brazil still are "Emerging Market and Developing Economies" still they are not " Advanced". just put an eye on their "level of life" as well their national wealth and specially Financial wealth ( with exeption of China) are relative small compared with their Gross domestic product. IMF even names the listed countries G7.It's enough.They are according to IMF list the 7 major advanced and largest economies by nominal GDP.There's nothing to talk.LittleOx (talk) 16:26, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
Removal of sourced content by IPs
Various IP addresses (possibly the same individual) are trying, without offering any justification/rationale, to remove the sourced fact that the group is now also referred to as G6+1 in the media, after it was first described as such by the French finance minister[1][2][3][4][5][6]. This is clearly simply a case of WP:IDONTLIKEIT motivated by American politics, and such unjustified deletions of sourced and relevant content by IP addresses may be reverted on sight. But we might need soft page protection to prevent such unconstructive edits here. --Tataral (talk) 04:00, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

New page for country groups
Hey guys, Since there are a lot of significant international partnership groups that frequently make the news, would it make sense to create a new page that has a massive table of countries and international organizations? So that membership information is easy to find (and compare)? I'm thinking of something like this:

Russia, India, China, Korea, etc have a bigger economy than that crappy list! Italy?? Are you kidding?? Every one of the G7 had the head of government removed for one reason or another in 1974, so it was decided that the new leaders, most of whom had never met each other before or in years, could get to know each other. Then, it was an annual retreat.Arglebargle79 (talk) 23:40, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

On December 31,1974, none of the Presidents/Prime Ministers had been there in January. Schmidt and Giscard were in their cabinets, but they weren't on top. Wilson had been out of government for four years and hadn't met either for more than a few minutes. Aldo Moro had been gone since the '60s, and nobody outside of their home countries had ever heard of Gerald Ford and whoever was PM of Japan.
