Expansion

The part of his biography about his time at Tech states the following:

From that, we can determine the following facts:

  • Georgia Tech was the Olympic Village for the 1996 Summer Olympics.
  • Research expenditures have increased from $212 million to $425 million
  • Computers are now required for all students
  • Enrollment has increased from 13,000 to 17,000
  • Over $900 has been spent on expanding or improving the campus
  • Tech received the "Hesburgh Award"
  • Tech's U.S. News and World Report ranking went up
  • Tech graduates a lot of minority engineers

Most of those are verifyable, which is good, but this biography isn't all that recent. I bet those research, building expenditure, and enrollment numbers are all out of date. I'd expect Clough's bio to include something about the "International Plan" and the "Research Plan," too. What else should we include? —Disavian (talk/contribs) 03:01, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

I found this: http://www.irp.gatech.edu/apps/factbook/?page=29Disavian (talk/contribs) 08:49, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

That information has been added, but the article is still too short. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 06:48, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

One thing we can do to expand is to add to his current accomplishments at the Smithsonian as they become available. He just completed his first interview since he began his post, and I have added in his plans to the Smithsonian section. Kat Malone (talk) 21:22, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
