Fair use rationale for Image:Uni-Pantnagar-logo.jpg

Image:Uni-Pantnagar-logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Help improve this page in a more wikified manner

I notice that over last one month lot of content has been added under two headings: 1. Description of colleges and 2. List of noted alumni. While I welcome addition of content, I have serious problem with its tone and mannerism. Description of colleges is just copy pasted from University website and amounts to copyright violation. College information should be written in wiki style and separately on the college page. For example look at College of Agriculture, Pantnagar. While appreciating the achievements of Pantnagar alumni, we must not forget wikipedia criteria of notability. I think the alumni list should include only those names. who have at least a wiki page devoted to them. So, I request the content provider of recent revision to rectify the above issues in 30 days, else I will remove these new additions. Also, my request to fellow Pantguns is to upload copyright unrestricted images of our beautiful campus. That will be a very valuable contribution and very much needed for this picture-less article. Action for above warning

I am the father of this article and a Pantnagar alumnus. I have watched with much pain the addtions in this page for almost last one year. I am sorry to say that, no one added anything meaningful and in conformity to wikipedia policy. This prompted Wikipedia editors to place the banner "advertisement" above the article and marked it for speedy deletion. In response, I am removing all such promotional material and reverting the article back to its approximate condition about a year ago. I feel that in present form the article is in good shape. Only contribution which will be worthwhile would be to add some good photographs as per wikipedia policy. Also, individual college pages can be developed further. Regarding notable alumni, I would like to say that henceforth only persons with a wikipedia article in their name should be considered notable enough. I hope that you will understand this.
