Tasteless joke

Quote: "Generally, primary pathogens that cause systemic mycoses are dimorphic."

The last word in this sentence, "dimorfic", is a link. It sends the reader to "Sexual dimorphism". Srelu (talk) 12:34, 25 June 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Srelu (talkcontribs) 12:32, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Prevention section needs references

The prevention section has no references at all.

The statement "Sports clothing should also be washed after use." doesn't jive with me. My experience is that washing in cold water leads to continued infection, and only washing in hot helps. Since the section gives no references, I have no idea if this article can be relied upon at all.

Singular / Plural form

The main article should in my opinion more clearly define the singular, and the correct plural form. I think it is correct, mycosis is issingular, mycoses is plural, but it should be mentioned more clearly. Right now the article reads in this way:

"Mycosis is a fungal infection of animals, including humans.[1] Mycoses are common"

And this is confusing because "mycoses" has not yet been defined here - only mycosis. Yes, it may be logical, but this need to be logical to everyone at all times the moment they come here; it would be better to just strictly define it, as it is already done in many other wikipedia articles. 2A02:8388:1641:8380:419C:5734:36D4:E382 (talk) 05:42, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

ICD-10

Replaced ICD-10 with 11, but rather than delete, moving ICD-10 here.[1] Whispyhistory (talk) 14:28, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
