Fighter Aircraft Examples edit

Either the percentages are wrong or "gross take-off weight" in the first sentence of the article actually means empty weight plus fuel, which doesn't seem right. The fighter aircraft surely want to take a pilot and maybe some weapons with them. So they either have to dump fuel in order to have the correct "gross take-off weight" in the denominator. But then they have the wrong fuel and hence a smaller fuel fraction as stated. Or they don't dump fuel in order to have the correct fuel in the numerator. But then they have the wrong "gross take-off weight" and, again, a smaller fuel fraction. 77.188.91.5 (talk) 22:52, 11 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

OEW edit

The table columns need explanation. "MTOW" is presumably maximum takeoff weight, but what is "OEW"? What's the difference between "OEW fraction" and "fuel fraction?" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.93.173.170 (talk) 19:47, 27 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
