POV explanation
editThese are not neutral phrases:
- "attempted to extort"
- "impracticable provisions"
- "was not at all ready to listen"
There are others as well. LaurentianShield (talk) 21:16, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
Probable source
editUpdate on the above: most if not all of the non-neutral language comes from the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica. See for example:
- Encyclopedia Britannica, Eleventh Edition, Vol. XIII: Harmony to Hurstmonceaux. New York: Encyclopedia Britannica, Inc. 1911. p. 194.
So I do not anticipate any dispute from modern Wikipedians. However, I believe we may need a little time for commentary. Also, I am not shirking my responsibility to clean it up myself, but it takes some work and there are a few other higher priorities for me right now. Really just one section, so focused the POV tag on that. The rest of the article is just disorganized. Also there is a broken Wikisource link. All of these things add together and amplify the lack of neutrality on one section, but can be addressed one at a time. LaurentianShield (talk) 16:33, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

It seems to cover everything. The text needs to be connected with the references using citations. An infobox is needed. It is well illustrated. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 17:15, 1 January 2009 (UTC) |

Heckerlied
editI came to this article from a non-Wikipedia mention of the song. It is barely mentioned in “Postwar activities and reputation” paragraph, but perhaps information from the German Wiki there cited should be adapted and given here (and in the Hecker uprising article). A job for someone with better German than me?
