Globalize tag edit

I have added the Globalize tag because according to this article, this phenomenon appears confined to the United States, European and Japanese eel species. The plight of the New Zealand Longfin Eel (A. dieffenbachii), and the Indonesian Longfinned Eel (A. borneensis) are not covered and these species are not even mentioned, so the article does not identify if these latter two species are also subject to poaching and smuggling or not. Also the caption of the Glass eel photograph, which looks similar to whitebait, needs a more explanatory caption. Also, in New Zealand, are several different indigenous species whose larval stages appear very similar to glass eels and, though threatened, these have traditionally been legally caught in-season, and are also the subject of poaching and smuggling to some degree. Lastly, I think the term "Glass eel" should also be explained in more detail, to avoid confusion, as some readers may not be familiar with the term. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 02:00, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
