The beginning needs work edit

There's some serious revision to be had here in regards to who did what first, and who influenced who. It all started with The Bucketheads (Kenny Dope) and their 1994 track "The Bomb". There's an interesting story to it and I plan on revising the article to include this. NPC (talk) 06:52, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Filter effect? edit

Can somebody tell me what this is? Ianthegecko 04:43, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

I think its the the kind of sparkly noise, with reverbs and echoing etc. --Reubot 07:57, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Filter effect is a combination of Eq'ing and Phasing, it gives you that deep breakdown into a bassline (Lo-Pass filter) and it really gives the music it's "touch" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Diizy (talkcontribs) 18:23, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was wondering about this too, and it is still not clear to me. Could someone perhaps provide a sample which demonstrates the so called 'filter effect'? I'm sure the article itself could benefit from that as well.--217.157.160.83 (talk) 14:02, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I completely agree. For someone who doesn't know what it is, saying it gives a "the music it's touch" or "that deep breakdown into a bassline" is only further confusing it with more abstract nonsense.

European Dance Music Scene must not link to Eurodance edit

Eurodance is a term by the Americans music fans to describe the 90s Eurohouse acts (mostly). The "European dance music scene" is a phrase and it is not limited to that! I'm correcting this (Labrokratis 11:53, 11 May 2007 (UTC))Reply

David Guetta as French House edit

I contest this claim. What say others here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.224.222.55 (talk) 20:41, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

He's french, and he is house. That's like saying snoop dogg isnt american hip hop. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Killanator (talkcontribs) 05:49, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

David Guetta is not French House, he is an other type/s of house. being French does not mean you make French House in that being American does not mean you make American Hip Hop Legalways (talk) 23:29, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

This entire article is a joke. My advice is to stop thinking about it my friend. --Minimat (talk) 19:54, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Disco House = French House?? edit

Can someone verify if this is more or less true? There's already another article about disco house, so if this is true then should the already-existing disco house article be deleted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.36.145.13 (talk) 22:56, 8 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Stylistic origins edit

Eurodance??????????????????????????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.13.26.242 (talk) 16:31, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tecktonik? edit

I'm changing the aprt that says they produce a style of electro house called tecktonik. tecktonik is a style of dance danced to electro house, not a style of music. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Killanator (talkcontribs) 05:50, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Air?? edit

Air isn't a french house band. Furthermore it's not a house band too. It should be deleted in first paragraph.

Improvements edit

As stated in the warning notice, this article has multiple issues. I'd like to help improve the article, but as I'm a fairly new user I wanted to ask for some suggestions from the wikipedia community.

A good place to start would be the general tone of the article, I aim to rephrase the article to be more factual and concise with reputable references after each point.

If anyone has any more suggestions please do let me know here or on my talk page. Djjdwetherspoon (talk) 18:25, 29 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
