Which one?

Another ship of the same name was involved in the French Incident (Hawaii) in 1839. That article uses this picture, but one of the two must be wrong, if this ship was destroyed in 1798. W Nowicki (talk) 02:22, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Artémise involved in French Incident (Hawaii) was a 60-gun frigate built in 1829. She would have looked like Belle-Poule, sp quite different from the Artémise of 1794. Rama (talk) 12:11, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Merci, this pic is of La Lutine so removed it from that article. The caption says it is of the same class as this one. I found a black and white print of the newer Artémise but to my untrained eye it looks the same. Might upload it if I get time and someone does not find a better one. Please do upload it, it is always valuable to have these illustrations. I can comment it if you are interested. Cheers! Rama (talk) 08:59, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
