I'll take a look at this shortly. Harrias talk 10:59, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
References
edit- Is "Hay, John (1902). "Assistance Rendered by French Cruiser Protet in Extinguishing a Fire in San Francisco Harbor". Papers Relating to the Foreign Relations of the United States with the Annual Message of the President. Washington D.C.: Government Printing Office: 478." this? If so, it appears the year is wrong?
- It's that letter, but it was published here in 1902, which is where I found it
- Why do you use roman numerals for the Journal of the Royal United Service Institution sources, but arabic numberals for Notes on Naval Progress, even though that source also uses roman numerals? It also appears that Lieutenant L. R. de Steiguer was the author of that chapter.
- Good question - I was probably looking at the title in Google Books (they use arabic numerals for everything) and forgot to convert it
- No OCLC for The Cyclopedic Review of Current History? OCLC 977668285 seems like a match?

edit- The sole image in the article seems to be licensed appropriately, but the link provided is dead, so I can not verify the details provided.
Prose
edit- "The Catinat class was ordered to as part of the program.." I don't think that "to" should be in there.
- Good catch, fixed
- "She had a cruising range of 6,000 nautical miles (11,000 km; 6,900 mi) at a speed of 10 knots (19 km/h; 12 mph); at maximum speed, this fell to 1,000 nmi (1,900 km; 1,200 mi).[4] She had a cruising range of 6,000 nautical miles (11,000 km; 6,900 mi) at a speed of 10 knots (19 km/h; 12 mph)." You've included the cruising range twice.
- Removed
- "Protet was built at the Forges et Chantiers de la Gironde shipyard.." Could you maybe add "near Bordeaux" to the prose here, just to give us an indication?
- Good idea
- "..and the United States cruiser Philadelphia." Why no USS this time? Every other UK or US ship has included them?
- Fixed
Overall, a nice and neat article as I would expect. I'll stick this on hold. Harrias talk 08:04, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
