Frederick MillsFred Mills — Since more of the name on the disambiguation page are Fred or Freddie than Frederick, I believe that this page should be "Fred Mills" instead. P Carn (talk) 00:03, 18 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disagree we tend to dab, quite rightly, by their actual name rather than the diminutive they are known by. All 5 entries were 'Frederick Mills' and 2 of them were known primarily as Frederick and 2 were primarily known as Fred, 1 primarily known as Freddie. There is not an overwhelming amount primarily known as Fred, which you've proposed moving it to - there's exactly the same amount primarily known as Frederick. • All right, but I think Fred Mills should redirect to either the disambiguation page, or the more well-known Fred Mills, the trumpeter in the Canadian Brass quintet. Which should it be? 99.13.113.38 (talk) 22:43, 18 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • At the moment, Fred Mills redirects to this dab, which I think is fine. Boleyn3 (talk) 09:38, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do not move - The rationale that most are Fred or Freddie is pretty marginal. Two are Fred, two are Frederick, and one is Freddie. However, this does depend on the given name of each person: Fred is often used as a name it its own right and thus isn't always a contraction of Frederick... --Jubilee♫clipman 18:12, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

All of these are, according to their articles. If one or two weren't, they could go in a see also section. Boleyn3 (talk) 20:53, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
