The New York Times obituary gives his year of birth as 1837. The Pennsylvania Institute of Architects website gives 1912, but does not give any source. It also says that he "claimed to have established his practice in 1858". 1837 would have him 21 when he set up his practice, which sounds a bit young, while 1812 would make him 88 when he died while still working, which sounds a bit old. But neither is impossible. For the moment I'm going with the NYT and 1837, but I'll keep looking for more sources. Kognos (talk) 16:09, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
