Abortion edit

I thought Fred was a confirmed Pro-Choicer? The article says "supposedly". Any documentation either way? Endorsed by any pro-life or pro-choice groups?

He is pro-abortion in cases of rape, incest and where life of the mother is in question.

2006 Election edit

Link to Kim Clark leads to the wrong person. The Kim Clark who is running against Fred Upton has a website at http://www.kimclarkforcongress.com/

I'm new to wikipedia, so am not sure how to fix this. - JF

The 15th? edit

Um, I know this sounds like an extremely stupid question, but, uh, I heard a rumor that Fred Upton is Fred Upton the 15th, and was wondering if anyone knew if there was any truth to this.

His dad's name is Steven Upton, so no. He also has a second cousin named Fred Upton, who is also Fred Upton I.

Predecessor edit

Wasn't Fred preceded by Mark Siljander? I believe he defeated him in a primary, Stockman was before Siljander...realizing the district has been redrawn numerous times, perhaps someone can clarify...

Include clarification "of referring to greenhouse gas emissions by the United States." edit

Include clarification "of referring to greenhouse gas emissions by the United States." 97.87.29.188 (talk) 21:38, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Why? "Greenhouse gas emissions", perhaps, but, even though talking about US policy, said policy can and should effect greenhouse gas emissions by other countries. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 07:12, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
By US Policy, do you intend Climate change policy of the United States? 99.181.138.132 (talk) 03:33, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Or Energy policy of the United States (United States Wind Energy Policy, Renewable energy policy, Carbon pricing for example), Environmental policy of the United States, or currently Foreign policy of the Barack Obama administration # Climate change? 99.181.138.132 (talk) 03:40, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Or the globalized Politics of global warming? 99.181.138.132 (talk) 03:37, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Exactly. You have no support. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 08:35, 7 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Why was this removed? edit

Regarding the regulation of greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act being upheld in Federal Appeals court, Upton said that Congress’s refusal to approve greenhouse gas limits constituted a decision and that lawmakers should act now to reverse the E.P.A. emissions rules. Carbon regulation “threatens to drive energy prices higher, destroy jobs and hamstring our economic recovery,” per Upton.[1]
