Although he didn't particularly distinguish himself for either team, Steinfort did send the NFL's all-time leading scorer, George Blanda, into retirement when he won the Oakland kicking job in 1976. A few years later, he displaced Jim Turner in Denver, when (I believe) Turner was the all-time #2 in scoring. WHPratt (talk) 15:25, 13 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
