Medal of Honor???

edit

The first line says that he was awarded the MoH: "Colonel Frank Tompkins (1868–1954) was an American officer in the United States Army and Medal of Honor recipient for his leadership in the 1916 Battle of Columbus, New Mexico, during the conflict on the Mexican-American border." The claim isn't sourced, and his name isn't listed on www.cmohs.org. The Army Times (http://www.militarytimes.com/citations-medals-awards/recipient.php?recipientid=16877) lists Tompkins as a Army Distinguished Service Medal and a Distinguished Service Cross recipient. I'm updating the article to reflect the truth. --72.47.85.22 (talk) 06:04, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Medal of Honor

edit

There seems to be edit warring. For the authors who list him as a Medal of Honor recipient, please include justification. Provide a link. As I noted in a previous post, Tompkins is not listed on the CMOHS website. A DSC is a great achievement; we don't need to tarnish this man's reputation by falsely claiming awards that he didn't receive.--72.47.85.22 (talk) 06:12, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
