NPOV dispute

Hi Wikipedians,

The first paragraph of this article contains a Catalan separatist claim regarding the number of presidents of the Generalidad of Cataluña. The presidents of Cataluña in its modern state go back only to the 1930s.

Claims to go back to the 13th Century represents a blatant attempt to manipulate and falsify history to favour a Catalan separatist narrative and no modern historian believes this is credible.

Note that the source cited in the document itself self refers to a separatist Catalan regional government source and is therefore suspect. There is no cross verification of any outside source to the Catalonian government sources and as such is not impartial. This error is repeated in the Wikipedia page on Catalonia here: https://ast.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llista_de_presidentes_de_la_Generalitat_de_Catalu%C3%B1a.

Counter sources to this claim (not separatist Catalan Regional Government Sources):

Irrespective of the accusations you've made, I think it was inappropriate to bring it up here. This is a much larger issue than just this one article about Macià and would better be discussed on Talk:List of presidents of the Government of Catalonia or even in a request for comment, so I would suggest you take it there.
For now, I'll be removing the factual inaccuracy tag, until a broader consensus on the subject can be reached. Grnrchst (talk) 18:04, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
