In what ways is a frameup a crime by itself besides perjury and interfering with an investigation.98.240.196.218 (talk) 19:10, 28 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

According to Merriam-Webster and the Random House dictionary, the preferred (M-W) or even only (Random) spelling is frame-up. --Austrian (talk) 09:44, 17 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Movie references

edit

Do we really need all those movie references? The links to imdb are not really good sources, as (at least in some cases) they do not even mention "frame-up". --Austrian (talk) 09:48, 17 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Real instances

edit

I agree about the movie references, and further there should be more real life examples given. This is something that happens all the time to different degrees... Whether it is a stupid cop helping an attractive female exaggerate an accusation, that infamous DA who framed tons of people for child molestation charges, or the Tennessee politicians requesting the framing of enemies on false drug charges. (They are widely known to do this and have very odd crime statistics and extreme levels of corruption. http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2010-05-11/the-most-corrupt-states/#)

The most heinous instances should definitely be listed here. It almost seems as if this page is trying to give the false impression that nothing like this ever happens. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.32.130.192 (talk) 12:35, 26 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

"Notable"...yeah, right.

This list is basically a CIA propaganda tool. Are we really saying there are so few UNCONTESTED frame-ups in history that such a list must be populated with contentious, POV trash? Kylie Moore-Gilbert, for example, learned to speak Persian in so-called Israel after first attending a "Zionist leadership conference" as a young woman. This is to say nothing of being married to an "Israeli". From Iran's perspective, she's a spy, end of. Are we really to pretend this charge isn't at least prima facie evidence to bolster Iran's claim? Ugh. 76.70.97.144 (talk) 15:21, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
