Geographic "four corners" versus others edit

So what I was actually looking for was a list of the various kinds of "four corners" locations around the world. Websearch led to the Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_corners_of_the_world about non-geographic "four corners", which does include a link to this disambiguation page, which is actually about geography. However, this page seems to be quite incomplete. Pretty hard to believe there are only two countries in the world that have such locations and that there are no such locations involving four different nations, but I am actually interested at various levels of geography, so perhaps a set of lists at various levels of abstraction? At some lower level such places would become quite common and would therefore stop being interesting (of course).

Beyond that quest, I am wondering about places with more than four corners. One maximal candidate leaps to mind as the South Pole.

(And yes, there was a time long ago when I might have pursued the answer on my own, but these years I don't feel so motivated to try to be helpful to what Wikipedia has evolved into. But enough meta.) Shanen (talk) 17:16, 10 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
