Remerge edit

Is there a reason why this was split out from the article on the place? If there is no good reason for the split, the CDP statistics should be merged back into the Fort Devens article.

I split it because both can be expanded. Since the other article is about the fort, this one is about the CDP. It makes sense not to have CDP info on a page about a fort. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 22:09, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
What information can be added to the CDP article that does not pertain to the place? Also, other military installations that are CDPs have merged articles and this appears to be the only exception. See Talk:Fort Devens, Massachusetts for additional information. --Polaron | Talk 23:00, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

They should stay split, the efforts to incorporate Fort Devens as the Town of Devens are still on going and when the fort is incorporated, the Fort Devens page will need to have it's header changed to Devens, Massachusetts. Other municipalities that share the same name as a CDP (Ayer for example) are split, so Devens should stay split so it won't have to be split again in the future. I do ask for a clarification though, isn't the CDP actually called 'Devens' and not 'Fort Devens'? Jph0917 (talk) 21:00, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

In Harvard in Worcester County edit

I wish there was a little more information on Fort Devens' presence in the town of Harvard. Right now, there's a golf course there, in between "Devens", which is otherwise entirely in Middlesex County, and, on the other side of the course, Harvard (about a 12 minute drive, as the roads are indirect) It's now very unclear what was there before the golf course existed. Surely the other "Devens" article is going to have to change as (I assume) if it's entirely in Middlesex.
