With this series of edits I have removed material about anti-submarine activity as there is no indication (other than the fact that u-boats may have been seen in the vicinity of Fort Brooke) that Fort Brooke played any part in the anti-submarine activities. There is no mention that the Fort incorporated an airfield, so it is unlikely that the aircraft were attached to the Fort Brooke detachment. If evidence can be found to the contrary, please feel free to restore the material (properly cited, of course). WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:45, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

The airfield was located few hundred yards from Fort Brooke on the other side of the bay. Yes, it played the part of military surveillance during anti-submarine activities midway WWII straight to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Yes, there was an underground installation beneath the fort where US submarines would come in. I saw it, even after Fort Brook was closed down. (Fort Brooke (talk) 07:32, 4 August 2010 (UTC))Reply
The airfield may have been located close to Fort Brooke, but it does not appear to have been part of Fort Brooke, but rather a separate military establishment. As for the submarine installation, "I saw it" is hardly a valid citation. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:05, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
