Talk:Format (Common Lisp)

Hmm… Now I am not sure if this is appropriate, but after playing with the power that #'FORMAT has to offer, it seems to me that it definitely classifies as an embedded language, and is unique in that it is the only embedded language in CL that is not based wholly on sexps. This and the fact that it lets to do wondrous things like decision making and iteration mean that comparing it to printf() from C is a bit like comparing a pocket watch to a graphing calculator. I hesitate adding these things only because I do not know if this is considered to be 'superfluous' detail. Is it? --Dented42 (talk) 03:57, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
