Article

The "Reception" section of this article does not seem very neutral. This car has gotten alot of good press from numerous media outlets, but the "good" points are barely touched on in the first sentence but the entire remainder of the section is devoted to negative reviews and shortcomings. I vote to remove this section entirely unless equal space can be devoted to both the positive and negative reviews of this car. 70.90.182.49 (talk) 18:32, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

I understand what you're saying, but: The car isnt in regular production yet. Give it a year. In 2012, the car will be sufficiently road tested for proper NPV. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.113.49.126 (talk) 23:59, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

"Consumer Reports has suggested the sixth generation Taurus is actually more of a freshening than a redesign.[25]" ...And Consumer Reports seems to be full of it. A freshening is what they do in between generations; i.e. a new grill and bumper in a car's 4th model year. Yes, it is on the same platform, but it still a redesign. Does this need to be in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.240.85.124 (talk) 23:19, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Discontinued?

At first it said that the production years and the model years said 2009 to 2017 then it changed to 2009 to present. Then it changed to 2009 to 2017. Then it changed again.

Did sixth generation Taurus really discontinue or not? If so, we should probably have a source of whichever happened. I am very confused right now.

Merger proposal

I propose that Ford Taurus (sixth generation) be merged into Ford Taurus. I think that the content in the Ford Taurus article can easily be explained in the context of Ford taurus (sixth generation), and the Ford Taurus article is of a reasonable size that the merging Ford Taurus will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. Kalininos (talk) 23:57, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

It's fine where it is now, the article is a good length and has enough detail to stand alone. Same for the other generations. --Vossanova o< 13:28, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

careful, will be discontinued next year

We know that Ford will discontinue the Ford Taurus as they discontinued the Ford Crown Victoria, but this is understandable. Ford will discontinue it in order to focus more on its line of trucks and SUVs. The seventh generation model was created in China 2 or 3 years ago. In the context of editing the article, what is this statement supposed to mean? --SteveCof00 (talk) 10:12, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
