Move and restore

edit

The original article Ford Focus BEV was moved to Ford Focus (third generation) despite the "no consensus keep the article" result of the merger discussion archived[1]. After consulting with an admin(here) he recommended to do a cut and paste to restored the article content. Since a reversal of the move would have resulted in losing part of the content of the new Focus third generation article, a cut and paste was the less destructive approach, but the original history of the Focus BEV article remains in that article (and that is the purpose of the special tag above). Also, I took the opportunity to restore it under Ford Focus Electric (here), considering that Ford changed the electric car name from Focus BEV to Focus Electric when the production version was unveiled in early 2011.--Mariordo (talk) 14:43, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

2.0 Duratorq with 160 hp and 5-speed manual

edit

I made specification table according to last data from Ford Focus Germany brochure! All data are for 5-door hatchback model. Before I edited the table there was 2.0 Duratorq 160 hp 5-speed manual spec, I don't think there is such option for any Ford. In case I'm wrong please bring that back to the spec table and name reference. Thanks ZunaOFP (talk) 13:48, 27 December 2012 (UTC)ZunaOFPReply

Engine types - unclear

Which version of EcoBoost does the 3rd gen Focus have? Does the 3rd gen Focus have petrol engines that are NOT EcoBoost? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.90.202.185 (talk) 13:40, 7 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ford Focus MkIII has 1.0 L I3 EcoBoost, 1.6 L I4 EcoBoost and 2.0 L I4 EcoBoost (Focus ST), there is one NON Ecoboost engine. The 1.6 L I4 Duratec TiVCT which has three versions 85/105/125 hp. it's all here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Focus_(third_generation)#Engine_lineup_outside_NA keep in mind that this info is for OUTSIDE NORTH AMERICA. In NA Focus has 2.0 L I4 TiVCT naturally aspirated engine. ZunaOFP (talk) 20:39, 21 March 2013 (UTC)ZunaOFPReply

End of global production

edit

Multiple editors have added that production of the Focus model applicable to this article no longer in production as of the day it stopped being produced in North America, but this is not the case. Changan Ford offers three versions of the Focus simultaneously now: the Escort, the Focus III, and IV. Besselfunctions (talk) 18:16, 8 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
