Flag yes or no edit

Should the flag of the countries be added or not? I think it should. Awardmaniac (talk) 18:16, 5 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Recent edits without summaries edit

Hello, I just made some edits/reverts, but unfortunately there seems to be a bug in the site that causes it to show TWO "edit summary" boxes in some cases, and the first of those – where I filled in my summaries – is ignored (see bug report here). So those edits are missing their summaries, which should have been as follows:

Michael Jackson's cause of death. edit

Please, in name of all Michael Jackson's fans around the world, change his cause of death like it was previous - homicide. He didn't died from overdose,he was murdered and there was a whole trial in 2011 against Dr.Conrad Murray and he went in jail because of that. We hope that you will resolve this issue immediately. 213.135.177.144 (talk) 06:08, 9 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

this is ridiculous and has been done on no other page pertaining to jackson. this random list page does not need to make equivocations on his cause of death. RedPandaWatcher (talk) 15:31, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Jackson Cause of Death Contradictions edit

The page on Jackson's death lists his CoD simply as "drug overdose" yet there seems to be insistence from some that it be listed as "homicide" or "drug overdose/homicide" here. It does not seem wise to be rolling back my changes here when this page seems to just be counter to all the dedicated Jackson pages. RedPandaWatcher (talk) 02:42, 21 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

The cause of death here is in line with Michael Jackson. Read what WP:STICKTOSOURCES says. The Wikipedia page of Death of Michael Jackson is not a reliable source and your above arguments are WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. While I agree that the wording by Forbes is not correct, it’s what the source says. TruthGuardians (talk) 13:45, 21 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi, thanks for helping :)
The issue is, and I am sorry for not expressing this before, but the CoD is *not* in line with Michael Jackson because fundamentally "homicide" (like suicide, accident, etc) is a *manner* of death, not a *cause* of death. The distinction can be found here, among other sources, as it exists in all jurisdictions in the United States to my knowledge.
As for matter of the Forbes sourcing, I concede that "overdose/homicide" should be preserved for the years in which Forbes incorrectly lists his cause of death as such, but in the several years for which the source has nothing to say about Jackson's cause of death, WP:STICKTOSOURCES does not apply. In fact, I would argue that combining the Forbes' sources with the listed Fox source is improper synthesis of sources.
Any other help you can provide for rectifying this would be great! <3 RedPandaWatcher (talk) 14:11, 21 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Cause of death edit

Why do we even list the cause of death in this article? Fram (talk) 14:00, 21 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

They were given in some of the forbes sources. However the sources are inconsistent from year to year, inconsistent with other pages, and inconsistent with what "cause of death" means (see the Jackson dispute). Honestly I would be down to just get rid of them all together... RedPandaWatcher (talk) 15:15, 21 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
