On West Street just before the public house from the Market Place is the Folkingham Workhouse the name can be seen in dark brickwork also the first building on the left hand side of Chapel Lane has a key stone above the door or window which has an inscription on it "The Good Intent 1777" this building was a malting the key stone was above an elevated door were the carts were unloaded with the grain for malting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.139.141.150 (talk) 09:36, 18 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
