Can anyone help with this article? edit

I'm looking for some help with improving this article. I made substantial edits some time ago when I was unfamiliar with Wikipedia and reading them back there are obvious problems with sources, original research and cumbersome style. I'm unfamiliar with the nuances of editing but I intend to go through the article, tidy it up a bit and add more depth.

The National Trust advertise the house as "one of the most important in Ulster" but information about it is difficult to obtain. I have no doubt some decent material is available. The PRONI Cole Papers are the principle secondary source I can find but I am sure other sources are available.

Things that would help:

Source material is probably the main one once the style and badly referenced stuff is sorted out.

The 1979 NT guide bookand the 1993(?) guidebook. Country Life article from 1911 (?) contains numerous pre-fire photographs of the plasterwork in the house, including the lantern above the landing and the drawing room ceiling. Country Life article 1981. Material relating to Richardson's restoration after the fire. Material relating to Richard Castle, particularly any decent secondary source material discussing his work in Fermanagh 1728-30. Any material relating to the landscape work of William King. Published photographs of the property.

I'll appreciate any help you can offer. MEDChambers (talk) 19:44, 20 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

The information on the gate lodges comes from J.A.K. Dean, 'The Gate Lodges of Ulster' (UAHS 1994). I'm in the process of updating of sources generally on the article and this information will be sourced correctly in due course.MEDChambers (talk) 01:45, 3 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

National Trust pilot edit

Hello! During late June, July and some of August, I'm working on a paid project sponsored by the National Trust to review and enhance coverage of NT sites. You can find the pilot edits here, as well as a statement and contact details for the National Trust. I am leaving this message when I make a first edit to a page; please do get in touch if you have any concerns. Lajmmoore (talk) 14:25, 4 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
