Frans Bauer a folksinger? edit
I suspect this was written by a Dutch or Belgian editor? The term 'volkszanger' in Dutch is not a complete cognate with 'folk singer' in English. In Dutch the singers known as 'volkszangers' often perform in a style that no-one in the English-speaking world would recognise as 'folk music'. They're more like 'balladeers of the people', singing popular songs that are often separate from so-called 'chart music'.
I am therefore changing it to 'popular singer', unless someone wants the term 'volkszanger' to be used with a link to the relevant page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 145.130.113.142 (talk) 11:23, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
