Major revision without prior discussion edit

The size of the article was practically cut un half after a revision on done on 27 December 2015‎. While there are some sections that were unsupported, it would have been more prudent to first initiatiate a discussion in the talk page, and/or tag the article as needing more citatitions. Also, why was the logo replaced? Finally, the list of faculty has been shortened. Using which criteria? All these are things that are better adressed by first discussiong approaches and ideas in the talk page. I invite the contributor ( @Corkythehornetfan:) to explain the rationale for the changes. Such massive deletion and changes without prior discussion with the community may merit to be undone, to then continue talking about it before making changes.Thank you. @Al83tito: I removed the flag because that technically isn't the logo (I updated to the full logo). I removed the degrees per WP:UNIGUIDE (or WP:NOTDIRECTORY). You can do a short summarization of the degrees, but not list them all. I removed the external links per WP:EL/WP:ELNO. A lot of the faculty did meet Wikipedia notability. I also moved the history section to the top to match a majority of the university articles on Wikipedia. ❄ Corkythehornetfan

External links modified edit

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 4 external links on Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

2015 Strategic Plan edit

I've undone revision 712840308 by 130.64.126.219 (a Tufts IP address according to Domain Tools) because it appears to be Tufts-published press release. Of course, if there's been any coverage of this in reliable sources please restore with appropriate citations. I've left a {{Uw-coi}} message at User talk:130.64.126.219. Current vs Former faculty edit

It is my understanding that Professor William Moomaw has retired from Fletcher. Should he and others for whom their status changes, stay in the Noteworthy Faculty section of the article, be moved elsewhere, or be removed? Thank you.(talk) user:Al83tito 12:43 5 August 2018 (UTC)

Miscellaneous comments edit

The following sentence in the History section definitely needs a citation, and possibly a rewording as well: "In 2020, the institution, in direct contravention to the terms of its founding, rebranded itself as "Fletcher, The Graduate School of Global Affairs" while retaining "The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy" as the legal and official name. The re-branding of Fletcher proved to be controversial among students and alumni, which resulted in the school returning to its former branding." LL.M is certainly not a "terminal degree" for a lawyer. (unsigned)

Very good institution but must move away from agendas like some European institutes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.182.31.129 (talk) 00:23, 23 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

I have moved to this new section two comments from others that were misplaced elsewhere in this talk page.Al83tito (talk) 06:13, 23 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Claim of oldest graduate program edit

To put to bed the debate on the Fletcher School's claim to be the oldest graduate program of international affairs. While it has been established the oldest outright school of international affairs in the U.S. is the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown, the University of Chicago's Committee on International Relations is the oldest graduate program of international affairs in the U.S., as stated here by the Foreign Policy Association's International Affairs Grad School Guide. The Fletcher School's claim is nothing but a marketing ploy and will not be included as such. Cristiano Tomás (talk) 21:28, 7 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edits to Fletcher School Capstone/Student Research Section edit

Hello there -- I am hoping to add in a section to our page on student research/capstones. This is an important piece of information as many students work very hard throughout their time at Fletcher to culminate their research into a capstone timed with their graduation. We would like to share more information with those interested in Fletcher by pointing them here: https://fletcher.tufts.edu/research-action/fletcher-publications-student-thesis. Please let me know what the exact issue is as it is unclear as to why this material is deemed not appropriate for our page. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lexiebowser (talkcontribs) 19:13, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

You wrote 'our page' - are you an employee or student of Fletcher? - MrOllie (talk) 19:28, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi MrOllie - Yes, I am an employee. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lexiebowser (talkcontribs) 20:22, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

I left a standard 'conflict of interest' message on your user talk page, give it a look when you have a chance. - MrOllie (talk) 20:32, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
