Other known symbols of the Cherokee flags used by various bands of Cherokee throughout history are the golden (eagle) feather (a good luck) symbol, aside the seven-pointed star and the big dipper. Flag colors include blue for the states of Oklahoma and Texas, with a white or silver star in it, and the tricolor of blue (top), golden yellow or orange (middle) and red or brown (bottom). + 71.102.27.81 (talk) 07:24, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

An alternative flag for the Western (Oklahoma) Band in contrast to the Eastern band is the portrait of a woman looking left with a baby in her back bag, the symbol of the Tlo-Va-Sa (or the forced removal) or more known as the Trail of Tears. Sometimes the woman is shown looking down in grief, sadness and mourning, to exhibit what the Cherokee called Nu-na-da-hul-tsun-yi (the place where they cried or suffered). + 71.102.27.81 (talk) 06:46, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
