'post-Roman times' edit

"The first same-sex marriage in Spain in the post-Roman times": does this mean that same-sex marriage took place in Roman Spain? Same-sex marriage, or anything like it, was highly unusual in ancient Rome, and typically we know little about same-sex relations between women (compared to male-male relations). Really the first? edit

In the Middle Ages, a same-sex marriage between the two men Pedro Díaz and Muño Vandilaz in the Galician municipality of Rairiz de Veiga in Spain occurred on 16 April 1061. They were married by a priest at a small chapel. The historic documents about the church wedding were found at Monastery of San Salvador de Celanova.[1] Contaldo80 (talk) 12:12, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Marriage of Pedro Díaz and Muño Vandilaz edit

My Spanish is poor so I took the article that was referenced by the statement that the priest might have been unaware of their genders and ran it through Google Translate. I could not find the statement that the priest might have been unaware of their genders anywhere in the translation. Could someone that is fluent in Spanish please read the article and show me the sentence that claims this? Nezahaulcoyotl (talk) 04:56, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
